evan.lavine 0 Posted July 7, 2009 minimal street photography at its best. Always you have a good story to tell and your tones are nice and clean. Inspiring - always!!! best, evan Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted July 7, 2009 I spotted this scene not far away from the "Spanish Steps" in Rome. It stroke me for its essential balance and narrative complexity. Tones and textures come out dramatically when you see it in larger size or printed. Grazie e ciao, Giuseppe Link to comment
fabrizio_r 0 Posted July 7, 2009 Molto bella questa immagine, insolita "street photo" statica e pulita, ottimamente composta, bellissimi i toni b/n, ottimo lavoro Giuseppe! Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted July 7, 2009 Another outstanding example of your eye for composition. Link to comment
wieslawmamon 0 Posted July 7, 2009 tones and texture and above all the geometry of this composition attracts my attention but for me the main power of this shot is its narrative side, two people completely helpless and as if at a loss because their shop is closed. Another observation, filled with bitter irony, of human behaviour not only in the streets of Rome but, I suspect, in the streets of many other places of the world. Sincere compliments, best regards -wm Link to comment
mark_q 0 Posted July 7, 2009 Greetings from Haapsalu, Estonia. I think it's striking how the two persons are framed by different pairs of windows: he, the wealthy owner of Mercedes, has the more sculptured, more "exclusive" looking windows as BG, while the lady in rather everyday outfit is framed by more ordinary plain window frames. About the B&W quality I can't say much as I'm looking at this on a poor quality display. Frontal shooting angle is a no-brainer in this case, naturally expected from you. Kudos. Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted July 7, 2009 thank you so much for your thoughtful comments. I am really pleased you appreciated this one. Thank you! In these troubled days I have not so much time and ease to reply as i would like, but your constant presence and your time are precious for this photographer. Thanks, Giuseppe Link to comment

david_l._forney 0 Posted July 8, 2009 Giuseppe, I just discovered your portfolio through one of your comments to another's image. There are so many photos in your portfolio that I'm a bit overwhelmed, so I'll start with this one. I believe that candid captures are often the best. Here you saw and found this image that speaks of an empty loneliness of a place that was at one time filled with vitality. The body language of the two individuals is reflective of their background, waiting to be somewhere else. It's quite thought provoking in these economic times. The image is quite powerful and beautiful. David Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 8, 2009 an image that, if one is so inclined, is pregnant with symbolisms... a quiet cameo with stories to tell... Link to comment
