I love the lighting. The side light contours the face beautifully and suggests an environment. Nice gradation on the background. The main light is placed well and doesn't cause any distracting shadows. Great!

I agree with the earlier comment about the skin being so smooth that it doesn't really appear lifelike.  I notice this in most all magazine covers and fashion photos - the skin smoothed to almost lose all texture.  I guess this is intentional and gives an interesting and beautiful image - but somehow an unreal image.  In this case, I still really love the image even if it is etheral.
