paulpluskwik 0 Posted June 17, 2009 This is a photo I took from my boat as I was out fishing very early in the morning as the sun was rising through the trees behind this old cabin. This is the first cabin ever built on this lake in northern Minnesota. It shows is wear from the battle of many years with mother nature. Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted June 21, 2009 Paul - very nice - when an image gets you thinking that you would like to be there - I would say that it has achieved success. I usually try to look for neutral gray in my images to let me know if I have good color balance. and we all know that items in the shade tend to be slightly blue unless we have the appropriate filter (skylight/UV). This is a very pleasant image but on my monitor, the stones have a slight magenta (blue-red) bias. I have made an adjustment using layers to get rid of that cast. I also went to levels - looked at the histogram and moved the black lever to the right and then the middle lever to the right also. I also notice a little softness on each side of the image and you may want to close down your aperture a few stops. I may be totally 'off-base' so feel free to ignore this comment. best regards and thanks for commenting on my "Golden Lit Iris". Link to comment
