Art X Photography 1 Posted June 9, 2009 interesting processing good combination of DoF and HDR (?) work Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Thank you, but this is not HDR. Just a few burnings and dodgings along with some sharpening. Best regards. Link to comment
ray.koushik 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Now you're after insects too and I alone get the scoldings!! Poor me ;-) Looks a bit grainy here on my monitor...but good composition. compliments -koushik Link to comment
blue-olympus 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Superb clarity for the insect, stands out well against the flower....Regards Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Koushik. Yes, now I am after creepy things. Eke bole 'nijer bela anti santi .....' . :) Keith, thanks a lot for your support. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted June 9, 2009 Jayanti, when I saw the thumbnail, I also felt that Jayanti has been infected with 'creeping creatures', which you objected to,in the past. Though I am also not fond of creeping creatures, I have to admit that composition and exposure are good. Dohai tomar, aar poka makar noi:-) Link to comment
arup 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Nice one. Well captured. Some grains are there. May be it is because of the sharpening in PS. Link to comment

lesliejbng 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Lovely. I really like the perspective on this. I am not familiar with this flower....beautiful and great detail on the insect. Nicely seen and captured. Warm regards, Leslie Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Thank you my friends for your time and support. Amalda, please, amar je arekta pokar bhalo chhobi achhe. Daya kore anumati din ar 2-1ta poka post korar. Leslie, this flower is known as Aparajita (literally meaning invincible) and is probably typical of warmer countries . The plant is a creeper. The most common color of the flower is deep blue.I am attaching an image of the most common variety. Some are light blue or even white. This light purple one is a relatively fancy variety. This flower has no scent, but its bright color with intricately folded petals is adequate to attract insects. Best wishes and thanks. Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted June 9, 2009 That is one lovely photo. The flower is beautiful and you've even managed to make the bug look good!!! Nice lighting and DOF. Well done!! Link to comment

samrat 1 Posted June 11, 2009 The insect has been well-focussed...I have nover tried anything like this...I suppose it requires both patience and time. The DOF for the greenery has been well done, though I'd have liked to see the insect in a bit more detail and with the petals a bit blurred. By the way, the other photo you have uploaded above is probably better overall...crisp, clear. Link to comment
