setsail728 15 Posted June 6, 2009 You are looking at the turnbuckles on all the shrouds that hold the masts up on this beautiful old squared rigged sailing vessel. You can see just from this photo how magnificiently beautiful she is. At least we, who have a passion for sailing think so! Thanks for looking! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 7, 2009 I have not done a lot of sailing Warren, but I love 'sailboats', especially ones with a lot of wood on them....your effects on this one are quite complimentary....great detail....a few years back the 'tall ships did Lake Ontario....I was in my glory...unfortunately had given my Son my Canon A1 film camera....so didn't have any photos to bring home...but will sure to 'catch' a few if they ever do the 'lakes' again!!! congrats, Gail Link to comment

michaellinder 16,613 Posted June 8, 2009 This photograph is beckoning for me to throw off my shoes, to climb the rigging, and to unfurl the mainsail. You are truly the "Master and Commander". Outstanding shot! michael Link to comment
ldavidson 4 Posted June 9, 2009 Very nice! I haven't been sailing for many years. This brings back happy memories. Is this yours? Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted June 9, 2009 Linda, 'Tisn't mine although I wish it was otherwise. Its a pretty large vessel that requires a crew to sail and a larger crew for maintenance. Mucho coin!!! So, I'll stick to my sloop of a much reasonable size!! Link to comment
