Liquid Objects

A real photo. For the production of this photo an oil filled conical bass speaker was used. The speaker was supplied with a sine excitation wave at 10 Hz with a power level that made the oil surface vibrate in a dynamical manner showing cyclically varying patterns. The colored lighting comes from a white light beam which was directed to a CD. The CD reflects spectral split light with a circular distribution onto the oil surface.
