Thomas,

Beautiful girl-next-door look about her - Quite sharp focus - Very pretty expression - Nice complexion - She has good eye make-up and blush, but I think she could use a little more lipstick or lip gloss. The color of her lips is really quite close to the color of the rest of her face. They kind of blend into her face. Your background is nicely out of focus and very neutral. Your subject is well separated from the background. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer). The lighting matches the mood that she brings to the photograph.

There should be more room in front of her than behind her. A good "rule" to follow is to position the tip of the nose in the vertical center of the photograph. This will usually balance a portrait as far as the left and right balance goes. She should have catch lights to give life to her eyes. I see a bit of a red and yellow cast to her skin. The tone on the edge of her right hand is quite good.

I would be critical of not having her shirt closed, because it draws attention to a light skin area at the edge of the photograph, but her breasts are in shadow. which darkens that area. This helps to keep the viewer's eyes within the picture. Because she is wearing a white shirt that is at an edge of the photograph, I would very subtly burn her white shirt near the edge, to again keep the viewer's eyes from leaving the photograph.

I like the posing of her hands, but you do not show a connection of her hands to her arms. They are just popping into the picture. This creates an interesting question. Are those really her hands or do they belong to one or two other people who are outside of the picture and just sticking their hands into the picture? This problem will always occur if there is not a direct connection shown of hand to forearms and forearms to upper arms in the photograph. It is not a major problem in this photograph, but there are times when it really looks quite comical.

The red bra strap or red shirt under her white shirt catches my eye and is a little distracting. It is hard to tell if her fingernails are just not done or she has a French Manicure? I really would like to have the overall sharpness a little better. I might just be a resolution problem. There is a hair going down to her left eye that is a bit bothersome.

Nice shot of a very pretty girl,

Mark

Lovely shot.  I agree with the critique that the model should have more space in front of her than behind her but the overall impression is very pleasing.  I visited your website and learned that you have a photographic business in Denmark.  You do good work so I hope you do well.
