Thought provoking photo! If those graves are for WWII soldiers then I totally agree with you, those great young men are indeed the freedom fighters of the 20th century, and we will forever honer their heroic sacrifice. But if these graves are for the "Abu Ghraib" type of heroes then I must say that the last war was a total loss for every one,but not Bin Ladin who is still free !!!, the economy is in a very bad condition, the middle-east is in its worst shape ever, The failure to bring peace and freedom to Iraq cost the US government its image in the Arab world, and gave radical extremest all the reasons to fuel hatred against the west, our world is more divided than ever, And very sadly the human cost of the last war is unbelievable. Well, weapon manifacturars! let me guess, they must have made millions and millions of dollars ! I hope i am not offending the families of those men how lost their lives, but before we fight we must know what we are fighting for, terrorism is an Idea not a nation, you can not nuke ideas!. And please don't forget that there are more graves on the other side of the world because of this war. In any case this is a great photo that touched my heart. My deep apologies to the families and any one who is offended by my views, but well this is the freedom of expression!

Great photo and very touching comment. Best Regards

Hayder, Thank you for you comments on the photo's creative merits, but I must defend today's soldiers and retort on your wayward political slight. You are wrong on so many levels of your view of the Iraqi war it's hard to begin. Unfortunately you are a victim of the CNN, MSNBC and main stream medias biased, untruthful coverage of the war. WW2 was the greatest generation because the country worked together to win wars not shoot our military in the back. The liberals in politics, the media, and Hollywood have degraded, undermined, attacked, and basically done everything possible to see the defeat of America morally and on the battle field. I won't use this forum to cite (factually) the reasons, effects, importance and necessity of the war, but perhaps you will do some independent research and clear your head on the matter. Also enjoy as this current Administration deconstruct our Constitution, destroy traditional American values, plunders our wealth and dictates your rights as he defines it. Obama now has 22 Czars he appointed...22!! Makes Bush look like a saint. Good luck defending that and pray your children, grand-children can survive under it. God bless our troops in the past, at the present and God help us, in the future. Terrorist know they have us cowardly retreating under Obama's spineless policies and the smell of our weakness is like steroids to their hate and murder. Sleep peacfully tonight---tomorrow you may not.

Thanks to our military men and woman America has been blessed, so far.

I agree with you that there were and are good reasons to fight the Iraq war, but your anti Obama tirade is as baseless as they come.

Regarding your image: Take out most of the sky, it adds nothing. If you cropped so that your sky portion was about 1/4 or 1/3 of the ground portion, then you'd emphasize the single light source which, with the central tree trunk, strengthen your visual message.

Thanks for your comments on my folio page.
