I like unfocused photographs because these kind of photos, have a strange power which can take me to the magical and fantastic moment. This photo is so fantastic and have the same power plus a hypnotize power. The colors are so calm but there is a delicate movement from left to right side of the photo which makes it a little dynamic. Excellent. Best regards to you Sandra.

...but I wouldn't have recognized azaleas here! And I used to give them to my beloved wife when we were boy and girl! Nice picture and nice fantasy! Cheers Sandra!

Beautiful softness Sandra....would love to see this 'as a pattern' on sheer fabric...for a long flowing summer dress.....just lovely.....(great frame!)

Ivan, Pierre, Gail and Saleh -

Thank you all for your comments. Gail, yes - I thought exactly of a sheer fabric when I saw the photo; I almost called this "Chiffon Azaleas!" Ivan and Saleh - you are right about the feeling of movement. This was all done with camera motion during the exposure. It's kind of a pot-luck technique, but that is what makes it fun. The results are either 'wow," "oops" or "darn - almost." I plan to experiment more - the brighter and more colorful the image, the better it works.

Karen and Michael- Thank you for stopping by and for our gracious comments. I think your are "first time visitors" to my photo nook! This does look at bit like a a floral ballet- all chiffon, translucency and graceful movement. I took about a dozen shots like this; this is the only one that I thought had any merit.

I love this one particularly because I did recognize the Azaleas! My dad used to grow many, many varieties so they are a favorite of mine. This is so nice because it has the movement and emotion of an abstract yet still retains enough of the flower to recognize it! I see a dance of the fairies in it!
