a gorgeous treatment, a vivid labyrinth of detail and great depth of field. highly evocative: of course o'keefe comes to mind, but also billowing sheets on a clothes line, lofty clouds, or the amazing, grooved corridors of utah's antelope canyon. bravo.

Wonderful image, Charles. It's different and interesting - almost like seeing this in the highest clouds.

Thank you all for your comments, analysis and ratings on this piece. As I experiment more in learning how to use my new camera, I also get lucky with how some of the pictures come out, then to get an even stronger image in post-processing makes it doubly lucky. I am very glad that you all are enjoying this shot as much as I did when I created it. I am actually playing with some variations of this as well. -- Charles

What a beauty Charles! The union of lights and colors is fashinating. The blue dominant in the shade becomes progressively white in the light.

Charles: Nicely done, good color, focus, DOF. If I have to find something and you want me to be really picky, the center of the flower i.e. pistol and stamen could be a little sharper. Tom
