jhl 0 Posted May 17, 2009 Hallo my friend, Congratulations on an excellent moment captured here. Maybe stop by the people when you happen to be in the area again and give them a framed copy of this. I think these trees are just awesome, and off course the whole team work as if we are all re living the Past. Warmest Regards Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 19, 2009 This is so very impressive. I have to pinch myself because it looks so alive. Great composition and fantastic colours. And as always, your trademark, a magnificent p/p work. And of course a favorite. Take very good care my friend and all the best always. Jannica Link to comment
timzeipekis 5 Posted May 20, 2009 Excellent Lawrence! I've been away for a while, but it looks like you still have the magic touch, this is a beautiful photograph! Congrats and keep it going! Link to comment
t37traveler 0 Posted May 20, 2009 Love the colors and the post process - but most of all I love the humor that I find in this - the sense of the futility of cutting that the gnarled branches create. I get the feeling that they will ultimately surround and ensnarl the family. The heap of cuttings in the little wagon is so small compared to grasping orchard! Excellent work as always! soniam 6 Posted May 22, 2009 Great capture. Well worth viewing larger. The web of branches makes it very clear how much work there is to be done. I would love to see this place when it is harvest time! Link to comment
bosshogg 4 Posted May 25, 2009 A beautiful humble scene. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the obvious comparison to a Norman Rockwell painting. It sure seems to apply in my mind. Cheers, amigo. Link to comment

naturegirl99 0 Posted May 27, 2009 I love St. Jacobs and the environs. The village is one of my favourite places to be, although it's become a bit commercialized. However, you've captured yet another perfect snapshot of Mennonite life, and with your trademark treatment, it appears to be from another age. Very painterly, love the tree branches. I've missed you, too! I did indeed have a great time in Pelee--I used to go there to catch migration every spring (and sometimes fall, too) and it was so nice to be back. The warblers haven't gotten any easier to photograph, though! Cheers, Nancy Link to comment
