I did the photo this way because the stark reality photo, frankly, had too

many technical problems and I could not save it for presentation in that

form. I liked the composition of the photo however and I didn't want to

give up on it. So, I decided to make it into something that my mind's

eye wanted it to be. Sort of what an impressionist painter would do.

So...it is what it is. An impressionistic rendition of my granddaughter

walking through a field of wildflowers. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Thanks for looking!

This is one heck of a piece of art, Warren. Your grand-daughter will appreciate this in years too come. Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence.

Warren, sometimes I've got the temptation, in some of my shots, to perform a kind of impressionist work...and never arrived. I love your work, well balanced, with a kindly composition, nice colors...Congrats! You encourages me to try it. Kind regards, Luis

Thanks everyone for the comments. We have all been taught to "see" how a camera "sees" and that is absolutely vital in doing excellent photography. I think the evolution of the digital age, and developments like Photoshop have now given us the ability to take what the camera sees (and records) and make some photographs into what our mind's see, or, what we would like them to see. Again, something the impressionist painters and many others have done in the world of art. This is not to say that photography has changed dramatically. Its time tested basics are as sound as ever. Digital manipulation is just a tool that has increased our options as to what we can do with the "raw" photo that appears on our computer screens when it comes out of the camera. That's my opinion, anyway...uh...for what its worth!

I like how you developed this file especially if seen in the context of its title.

I think that you have chosen the most appropriate language to communicate with people that day did you go back a little child.

Your treatment of this image makes justice to her mood. Sponge effect, is that it? Wishing all the best to your little darling.
