jhl 0 Posted May 12, 2009 Hallo Lawrence, Well, 1st I had to read what all your other friends thought of this Gent with the BitterPast and enjoyed their comments. My thoughts about this portrait - Very Strong Portrait - Captured at the right time - I think the fact that even though you had a conversation with him and his facial expressions did not change at all shows a Very Sad Past - Who knows, maybe he lost all who was prescious to him when F Castro won the Battle for ruling.- country which I still want to visit - The wrinkles - the clarity of colour in the Grey Hair and even the bitterness that shows through the eyes is certainly a photo that would stay in memory for a long time - Congratulations once again on this awesome capture - WarmestRegards to you & your family. amalsircar 2 Posted May 13, 2009 Lawrence, a powerful portrait, made poignant by your post processing work. The choice of tone is admirable, because B & W accentuated his bitterness. Link to comment

jmcconnell2 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Hi Lawrence, once again I am amazed! You could make a nice fortune, (if you haven`t already), teaching these techniques, I would like to learn myself! Your friend, Jim. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,613 Posted May 16, 2009 Amazing capture of a face with a storied past. Is the man because the Fidelistas took his way of life, his family, his dignity? I think he may have experienced all of this. The look on his face is amazing. His eyes smolder with intensity. WOW! michael Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted January 21, 2017 Felt it was a absolute 7, however it was rejected and gave it a 6. Congratulations! Was not surprise to see it has a 6.1. Link to comment
