Donna Stavis 0 Posted May 3, 2009 If they were wearing street clothes (and not carrying weapons), they could be mistaken for freshmen in college or some even seniors in high school -- pleasant smiles...hardly the soldiers one finds in news propoganda photographs. I love the surrounding bits you've included -- the crosswalk with bit of car, shopping and merchandise, "civilizans"; gorgeous Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted May 3, 2009 Thanks for commenting. Yes, these are just kids. I took one this morning at the central bus station which I think are familiar with. I have not posted but I really would call that one "children with guns". Link to comment
robwilson 0 Posted May 6, 2009 This is a powerful and disturbing image. The expressions in the young soldiers faces seem to be confidences, fear, confusion, and happiness. It shows that those that are first in harm's way (as far as armed conflict is concerned) are most often the young. Fine work, Cheers Rob Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted May 12, 2009 Meir the image is great and the message is of fear and violence. My crisis unit director in my Miami-Dade county, spended 3 weeks in Jerusalem and met with respponce teams. The presentation was terrifying and informative. After the shock you concentrate in best ways to solve the problems. Best Regards. Link to comment
myattphotoandfotoart39 1 Posted May 13, 2009 Thank for commenting. Mention of Miami brings back good memories. And I was at that Parrot Jungle where you probably took those excellent shots -best I've seen. You must have an great lens and steady hand. Thanks again. Link to comment
