chris_panagiotidis 0 Posted April 29, 2009 From your balet shots, Vihao-all excellent-this is the one that singles out for its framing and the grace of the frozen movement. I am sure that when the dancer saw her picture, even she, was amazed by the graciousness achieved. Perfect performance behind and in front of the camera! Best regards, Chris Link to comment
jclink 0 Posted May 2, 2009 I spent some time looking at your cropped version of this and read the critiques - i do like not only more space on the left side for her to jump into - but it is fun that there is a window there. The soft grays of the window and the tree very nicely contrast with the action of her leap and the solid ballet bar and molding on the floor. Yo! The shadow of her leg disappeared. What can she land on? Thanks for putting this photo out there for us to enjoy and learn from! Jean Link to comment
www.photo.netphotosdecle 0 Posted May 3, 2009 Viaho, thank you very much for sharing you portfolio on ballet with us; you have captured some great moments in movement and some "peeks" into the rote and ritual of practice. I have always admired ballet and now I am beginning to teach myself photography would like the chance to shoot dancers. Thank you and best regards. DEC Link to comment
suspendedmoments 0 Posted June 21, 2009 I absolutely LOVE stop action dance compositions.... so many things come together this is a wonderfully lit and well timed capture, demonstrating the liberation of a wonderfully executed leap.... what excellent clean lines this environment provides.... had her toe not ended right in the baseboard, I'd call this a perfect capture.... as is, it's a wonderful statement about this physically demanding art form... thank you for sharing!
