joseph_czapiga 0 Posted December 10, 2002 I like the lighting and the way it cuts the subject in half, almost hiding part of her...and the filter was a very nice touch Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 10, 2002 I like it-- however, a square composition would do it even better. Try to cut the left 5% and the right 15%... Just a thought, Link to comment
jay_de_fehr 0 Posted December 10, 2002 I love the sweet, innocent, relaxed nood of this photo, and of course, the model is beautiful as well. The use of contrast and softness work very well together here, along with a strong composition. The pastel palette add to the serenity as well.-jdf Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 15, 2002 Beutiful model, soft colors, harmony in shadow and light, tan skin and white breasts make this picture very very nice. Link to comment
John Peri 1,038 Posted April 11, 2003 Posibly, just a little sharper, but I still rate it high for the excellent composition. Link to comment
sarah marie jones 0 Posted March 29, 2004 Outstanding shot Vicki. Very bold lines and contrast, nicely softened. Great work. Link to comment
jonathancharlesphoto 2 Posted March 29, 2004 Perfect composition and nice use of the harsh directional (implied or real) "sun"light to enhance the modelling of the surfaces, offset by the softening effect of the glow filter - which is probably the nearest digital equivalent to soft-focus lens. What makes this special, though is the way you have given your model this secure enclosure in the hammock - almost like a cocoon - from which to enjoy the warm sunlight. The degree of softening is fairly radical but I think it works well in representing the dreamy basking atmosphere. My only suggestion is that a hint of context visible in the background (eg shadowed palmtrees, old mediterranean hotel room) would make it even richer. ... Jonathan Link to comment
studio5nine 0 Posted September 17, 2004 When I look at this, and mind you I looked at this photo when it was first posted, I feel like laying down, relaxing. This photo is so emotionally calming. I wonder would I feel the same way if your subject were an obese, non attractive woman. Well whos to say. Feel free not to test the matter. Great photo :) Link to comment
