Wow, El, this is an incredible portrait. I tried for the 7/7's, but no luck. I love how you captured him, details and light are great, but I sense his sweetness and strength also. I wish so much I had taken something like this for my father, before he passed away in January.

It's a very nice portrait both from a technical point of view (you have been able to render the details in the hilights as well as the details in the shadows) and from an emotional point of view (portraiting one's own father activates a psychoanalytical reverse path that can be very difficult to manage).
