Of your ballet pictures, I like this best. There is all you haven't shown, which is very good, there is the very formal use of the window to frame the pose, which is better, and there is the backlighting on the right leg, which gives it an almost serpentine quality, expressive of athleticism and power.

Very elegant and classic pose, but what I like most is the concentration on form and the use of a chiaroscuro effect. At first the window details were too important, but I think they are soon forgotten and the dark horizontal lines of the bars add power to the image as there is an equilibrium sensed in both them and the danser.

The totally blacked out face does nothing for me.
