Beautifully posed photo with delightful blue color perfectly matched to this stunning model's eyes!! I'm very curious about the lighting. First let me say I love it. Its very bright (I think) on her hair and her face looks flawless but slightly pale due to the strong light. And yet my medical training suggests that with very strong light on the face the eye's pupils should be very small. In this photo her pupils are dilated ....big black pupils surrounded by deep blue irises. I can get that effect with certain pupil dilating drugs but I assume none were used here. Please excuse my fixation with this but I just can't shake loose of it. Was the light softer than I think?? Was the lighting intensity changed during post processing??

First of, the light was soft in the studio but I don´t think it was so soft that it would make this effect on the eyes... This bright light I have done in photoshop because I wanted to give her this pale and cold look....

About the eyes, I don´t know why she has these eyes because I haven´t done anything with them.. But one of my old friends that have contact lenses also gets this kind of pupils when he is photographed.. Don´t know if it´s the case with this model but it can be..

Thank you so much for you comment and detailed information..

All my best to you, Jill

Jill...you have done a great job of this. Some might say it's too bright...I say it's so good that you have made this look like a porcelain doll. Wonderful work, my dear. Regards, Lawrence.

The composition with harmonic colors on this picture is great. I not fan of that very strong post-processing on the skin, but in this case it does not look bad.

The dilated pupil are because you the light on the room is very soft; that can be reduced by modeling lights but if you do not have them of the strobes. You can increase the light on the room with incandescence light (I use them); they usually not interfere with the strobe light. Use as many are necessary to reduce the size of those pupils. With smaller pupils you are going to have even greater pictures. In this case they are totally blue eyes.Regards,
