My what a face! I would not put any part of my person close to that cat right now! Someone looks angry! I love your cat image and the cute idea of the fruit and the caption. If I may make a suggestion for improvement please don't take it as a negative thing but as my attempt to help you in making better and better images.

 

Every picture tells a story but the elements of the story need to be separated from other things that don't help develop the plot. Here your cat's pose and the position of the bowl are great. I would suggest two changes though. The space above the cat's head is basically wasted and might be cropped out. The background is cluttered with stuff to the point where it distracts. In taking such a picture you could hang up a background in the form of a sheet or a blanket or something similar or you could use a different f/stop in order to limit the depth of field and make the background go blurry.

 

I hope you gave your cat some cat-nip to help with its calming effect.

This is a snapshot, and the cat was not in pose. He was walking on the table. I had only few seconds to point and to shot!

 

 

And obviously I couldn't prepare a set with a good background. :-)

 

Maybe I could try a crop like you suggested.
