Echinacea's 'Go Wild'

First real serious try Photo and free hand......bit of a challenge...comments

I like the effect. Were you using one of the texture filters in PS elements or the like?? My only comment (and its strictly personal taste and nothing else) is that the texture used is somewhat coarse. I think I would use a slightly more refined texture. But again...that's just personal taste and nothing else!! Great first try!!

I actually feel the same way Warren...it is a 'Woodcut' effect in Elements. main reason I tried it as I do have to paint it again....(learn as you go if you know what I mean)...actually its a combination of a few effects. The original photo is quite beautiful and I'll be posting it some day. Thankyou for your time and comments...and I don't mind you expressing your opinion (that's what this 'forum' is all about).....I DO appreciate what you think.....so 'relax'....you made a very constructive and quite positive critique, that pretty well matches how I felt anyways....cheers....see you in the 'Pictures'!!
