jose_grau 0 Posted November 28, 2002 I like light. Maybe a landscape format would be better.I'll be a beginner forever, so i shot lots and lots of film.Welcome ! Link to comment
alberto.conde 0 Posted December 6, 2002 Compositionally this shot is interesting. again the rule of thirds is well applied with the trees in the left side and the picture horizontally divided in three with clouds and the two bends of the river. Additionally the bend itself helps the eye in going around the river. nice late afternoon light and interesting clouds. well done, Lou Ann. Keep shooting and keep looking at things with that natutal photographic mind that you seem to have (and buy a polarizer filter...) Link to comment
jesse_jenkins1 0 Posted December 13, 2002 it get the viewer looking into the depths of the landscape. For me adding some fill flash for the foreground would help or maybe just cropping it out altogether. I did a little bit of work in Photoshop, hope you don't mind.It looked to me to have a bit too much yellow (white balance was off) and a little bit of work in levels. Just my 2 cents worth. dominiquedodge 0 Posted December 15, 2002 The composition is attractive - diagonals working well here. What's missing is a boy fishing on the spit of land that juts into the lake! (just joking) Link to comment
beholder 0 Posted January 1, 2003 I'd crop the foreground and adjust color levels in PS. Good shot, anyway. Link to comment
alexandra_badea 0 Posted January 26, 2003 Your photo shows such a nice landscape. It makes me wish two things: 1) to see the whole picture you saw there. 2) go on holiday! Link to comment
osman_gagavuz 0 Posted January 27, 2003 I'd like to see the river uncut on the right side but it is a very nice photo though. Link to comment
andrei_nicoara 0 Posted April 24, 2003 I can almost feel the "freshness" in this shot. I think the composition is very good, however I would like a landscape shot as well. keep up the good work! Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted August 28, 2003 In reading the comments of all these confirmed photographers i learn as much as you and i can't add hardly more. For me, the square format would work better in croping the bottom. Otherwise, i would have prefer to see more of the river on the right. If it had be possible, i would have move some metters on the right, or have take the shot horizontally. Otherwise, the light is excellent. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 13, 2003 This is beautiful. Maybe I missed it but what film did you use? Tripod? Thanks for commenting on my barn photo. I also love the framing you use on your other pictures. Link to comment
vemuri 1 Posted April 8, 2004 Is it Veliva? The blue is toooooo blue. But a nice shot. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted April 8, 2004 No ... not velvia. I didn't write down the film for this ... it was probably Kodak Gold 200. I think that's what I was using back then. Link to comment
