celasun 0 Posted March 24, 2009 I liked the telephoto "compression" that makes the humans look like miniature creatures. The building at the backround stands there as "The History", in front of which almost everything becomes miniscule. Link to comment

giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted March 25, 2009 for the time spent viewing my works. This one was shot last Saturday - early morning. Piaza di Spagna was almost empty and light was smooth and misty. Thank you again, Giuseppe Link to comment

teresa.zafon 0 Posted March 25, 2009 Very nice this one as well... How did you manage to take out all the people that are usally sitting on those stairs. Was it early in the morning? Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted March 25, 2009 (and thanks to Giuseppe and all the others who are sending their best wishes for the coming exhibit in Brugge: I need them). Teresa, this one was shot on Saturday morning at about 8:00 am, so the Spanish Steps were almost empty [I had to wait for those two descending the stairs!] and I was walking through half deserted streets. beautiful light and silence. I was listening to Roger Waters' "Amused to Death" solo album (his best in my opinion), and shooting calmly. I needed this and hope you like the result. In the following days I wil post more. Thank you for your interest and have a beautiful day, G. Link to comment

rameshworld 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Giuseppe, your photo is amazing! What I find even more impressive is that you managed this with the 18-200 Nikon lens which, while a very handy lens, has a fair amount of distortion. I have the same lens. How did you manage to get rid of the lens distortion and also get all lines vertical? Just looking for some tips. Thanks! Link to comment
giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted March 27, 2009 for all your comments!Ramesh, this lens distortion is noticeable at both the wide ends (waving distortion) and at most of the focal range we have some pincushion. These small problems can easily be resolved with the instruments for distortion correction provided with Nikon Capture NX2 or PSCS4. Thank you again for your appreciation, Giuseppe Link to comment
danielhristescu 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Fantastic composition with fantastic lights and shadows . Congratulations ! Dan Link to comment
wieslawmamon 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Excellent post processing, I like the soft feel of the image which suits the atmosphere of the scene. The composition is mainly about lines and shapes and though full of details, the arrangement and the rhythm of repeated components make quiet and tidy impression here. I'd like the lower person to be more seperated from the lamp but it's not a really big issue here. Thank you for sharing, regards -wm Link to comment
mtfaidherbe1 0 Posted April 9, 2009 The best and most original Spanish steps photo ever ! Congratulations. Link to comment
Link to comment
