giuseppe_pasquali 0 Posted March 16, 2009 and composition. Imho find the slightly blurred face is a defect. Anyway the facial expression of the waiter is beautiful. Thanks for sharing, Giuseppe Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted March 16, 2009 Thank you to all of you for stopping by and commenting on this one. I appreciate your support and opinions very much. Again, thank you very much indeed. To Chuck............Yes indeed, it is the 50mm 1.2 again. I use that glass nearly always for my night candits and I am very happy with the result. To B.C...............No, no cons concerning the 50mm provided you check the glass if proper calibrated. There have been some back focusing issues - so better check before you buy. I am not a pixel-peeper and for me and my purposes the lens is excellent. To Andrea and Jean-Marc:.....In fact I didn't want to crop anything because I wanted to keep the 'ambiance uncut' but identifiable and as background only. Link to comment
mdineen 0 Posted March 17, 2009 your black and whites really do have an extraordinary feel. a real treat. Link to comment

elportebonheur 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Nice to see you visit again! I appreciate your support very much. To Steve:............It's outdoor, Steve, it's outdoor but under the arcades. Turin has 18 km of arcades and 12,5 km of them are continuous and connected. You find a lot of shops and cafés with terrasses - this is one of them where you can meet and slurp your cafe macchiato. And btw Turin has the biggest pedestrian area of Europe...:) Link to comment
ifti 1 Posted March 17, 2009 Great candid with an expression. Like the tones and the blur of the BG. Link to comment
abigail_smithson 0 Posted March 17, 2009 This picture is so elegent and beautiful. The blurred lights in the background give some sparkle to the picture. The man casually holding tthe tray shows that he is working but has a minute to gaze off. The contrast between the starkness of his dark eyes and the blurred lghts in the background is wonderful. This picture has a wonderful, old feeling to it. Great job. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted March 17, 2009 Fabulous image. Perfect lighting. Your subject seems to have cought the light more than anything else in the photo. He pops without having to lose the interest and atmosphere of his surroundings. Well done! Link to comment

giorgiomarino 0 Posted March 17, 2009 Bellissimo "effetto preseenza" dovuto all'ottima DOF. Rimango sempre sorpreso dal modo che hai nel realizzare il B/W, sembra una buona "vecchia" carta baritata. Complimenti. Giorgio Link to comment
