margatt 9 Posted March 9, 2009 Definitely a vintage look with the grain and on-camera flash. Sort of reminds me of the 'French postcards' soldiers had back in WW1. A touch of sepia would be the final bit needed to make it truly vintage. All said yeah, I like it. Link to comment
aeaster 0 Posted March 10, 2009 If vintage is what you want, then use the real thing. Digital noise is not the same as B&W film grain. It looks like what it is, a PhotoShopped modern digital capture. I believe that only silver-halide can look like silver-halide and noise will never look like grain. But that being said of the technical details, I rather like the style of the photo taken as a whole. "Right church, wrong pew" as an old professor of mine used to say. Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted March 14, 2009 I really like the composition of this photo but I find the dark corner (bottom left) and the shadow created by the direct flash a bit destucting. Otherwise, it's a very good image. Congrats. Link to comment
