really well seen... nice effect from the balconies, it creates almost a sense of texture, and the human presence in such a distintive posture and color gives a certain uniquness to the image. if you allow me a suggestion, i would try to crop out the upper left corner (the area where there's no balconies)... maybe it would increase the intensitivity.

Very nice -- the light intensifies the shapes very effectively. Ricardo's suggested crop is interesting. It might make the image more abstract. But it also moves the human subject closer to the edge and away from his current strong position. I'd be inclined to to shave only a tiny amount off the top (perhaps this is what Ricardo means) or perhaps not to crop at all.

Ricardo, Gerry, thank you both for your thoughtful feedback.It's funny, I had the exact same thoughts about this image. The fact that in the upper left corner the balconies stop did bother me a bit, but had I cropped the image, it would have destroyed the round shape and changed the composition. Took another photo where I didn't zoom in so much, crop worked fine on that one. Thanks again for your comments!
