halcyonlll 0 Posted April 29, 2009 Is it just me, or her face looks a bit crooked ? (I'm not sure i'm using the right term here). She looks a bit distorted and her skin tone not very natural. Although, the emotion (sadness, despair, brain damaged) is perfectly portrayed. Keep playing around with the camera and find the best angles for your models. Best of luck! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted April 30, 2009 Dan, Your composition is very good (except for head room) - Her eye make-up looks good - Her hair is a nice color - You have a good plain background. She needs more head room - You need to focus on her eyes - I would turn her a bit (it is more slimming and a more feminine pose) - You need a backlight to more separate her from the background - Her bright multi-colored head-ban is distracting (It draws the viewer's eyes away from her face) - You have double catch lights in her eyes (it is much better to have only one catch light in each eye) - Her lipstick was not put on well (it looks like her lips are dried out) - Her blush is too heavy - She needs a more pleasant expression - In the lower left corner of the photograph is a bright white area that is distracting - I'm afraid the lighting doesn't do much to enhance her looks. Your name, etc. is not part of the photograph. It belongs on the mat. I think she might be a very pretty girl, Mark Link to comment
