mark_pearson1 0 Posted November 17, 2002 I like this shot, which was taken on Kodachrome 64. It shows well the drivers eyes in the early morning sunshine. Link to comment

tim_found1 0 Posted December 27, 2002 great to get the eyes shining through so well. i also like the detail of the car in the morning sun. possibly cut out some of the dead space on the top and to the left? regardstim Link to comment
witolda_maruszewska 0 Posted February 4, 2003 I like this photo - a lot. Don't think it needs to be cropped at all because it would remove some of the things that you associate with Le Mans from the background i.e. the trees and the Dunlop bridge. In that sense it is very evocative because the circuit is immediately identifiable. Cropping would remove that and turn it into any old sports prototype photo. I also like the fact that the car is non-centre and towards the bottom of the frame. Link to comment
mark_pearson1 0 Posted February 16, 2003 You're right with your comment about my picture - it does capture the elements of Le Mans and without those, it would have just been yet-another-boring-racing-car picture! There are several ways in which to frame this shot, I also like another shot where I have it portrait. But in all cases the worst thing one can do is place the car in the centre - it makes the shot look very loose and badly composed. A better composition would have been to have the car more in the bottom left, but then I would have needed another car in the background on the right handside to balance it out. Cheers, Mark.
