Thank you, Jean-Marc and El! We have had 24 inches of snow in the last 3 days. Today it is clear and 12 degrees F. This scene attracted me because of the light on the clouds behind the trees combined with the rich blue sky. It was snowing lightly which accounts for the little spots in the image.

Have a wonderful, warm day:-)

Some film ends with scenes of snowy landscapes, I think there is something inside us that makes us love these beautiful scenes. Congratulations. Have a nice weekend. Vicente.

I love winter scenes--especially since I was unable to go snowboarding this year due to a shoulder injury. Must be different for you because you live in it, whereas I have to drive for hours to play in it! Just to let you know, there are a number of tiny black spots that show up in the clouds and some white ones in the upper right blue sky area. Stay warm my friend!

the old snow is white, and the fresh snow is very white, the fresh one is very cheap, and a load to the back and pocket, the old one dissolved and sell for 5$ a bottle in the near by Canad, for it is being say 100000 years old,as they say and it is devoid from pollution, despite all that ,I liked your fresh snow, its color, and its freshness, and being captured by a friend, and yes I envy you for your snow,

what I liked in your photos of snow ,is the pure and natural colors of the snow,6/6.with regards.

Thank you very much, Lennart, Vicente, William and Saad! I think the spots in the image are from the light snow that was falling at the time that I took it. I cloned a few large flakes out. The snowmobilers love this. For many years, I took care of their injuries, mostly severe, so I have an aversion to snowmobiles and their often irresponsible riders.

Best regards,

Dick

Very nice composition. The sky is especially beautiful.

We're getting 2-4 inches of the white stuff tomorrow. We were inundated with snow in January and hardly any precip for February. Go figure!
