I am trying to use back and side lighting to get this effect. I have now a

low end studio set of lights and this is on of the shots i got. I am not

sure what im doing because i have never shot with studio lights. Please

tell me what would make this better and such. Thanks Linda

Hi,

I would use a white reflector in front of her to get a (very) little amount of detail in the shadows. In my display, it looks too black and some detail would make it look a lot better. I know you want this effect and I am not suggesting you make a different picture, but you need something in the shadow part. I will try to find a portrait I did with a similar effect and send it to you later.

cheers,

Alma
