floris2 0 Posted February 13, 2009 It's been a long time since I last posted here, so sorry! This pastyear has been very productive for me, and I decided to start afresh. So I'll be adding images every so often, and hope enjoy them. And ifyou have a moment let me know what works and what doesn't. This firstone is from Yosemite, obviously. I don't shoot many icons, but thisone was calling my name, so I obliged.. conditions like this don'thappen too often! Link to comment

michael r. reynolds 0 Posted February 14, 2009 Floris, It is an icon, but you created a very pleasing composition. Great light and conditions. I'm used to seeing your posts over at NPN. Nice to see you posting here as well. Best Reards, Michael Link to comment

nhut-nguyen 0 Posted February 15, 2009 Always a big fan of this view, I'm supposed to be in Yosemite right now, but due to some difficulty the trip was canceled. Looking at this nice image cheers me up. I'm amazed Bridalveil Fall is all dried up. Great shot. The image is titled a bit. Link to comment
momagnum 5 Posted February 15, 2009 Hi Floris Classic pose. Very well done. Congrat. Tommy Link to comment
floris2 0 Posted February 17, 2009 Thanks Sinh - the tilt is most likely an illusion, this is actually a panorama shot with a single axis pano head, so I made very sure that everything was level when shooting this. Link to comment
nhut-nguyen 0 Posted February 20, 2009 Floris I agree after taking another closer look at your image and a few other images of this familiar view from my local photo clubs. Link to comment
ronald_capasso 0 Posted March 6, 2009 I couldn't help but notice comment about tilt. I have similar shot and received comments about horizon as well. Glad it wasn't just me. Nice capture by the way. I know what you mean about not being able to resist this kind of moment. Ron Link to comment
jrickert 2 Posted March 7, 2010 I love the orange mountain, half in the sunlight and half out in the sunshine. Link to comment
mikelgondra 0 Posted March 7, 2010 Hi, Floris, Interesting image with fire (colors) and ice or snow color and texture in the first distance. I miss some detail or starring object in the first 3-5 meters; I would have detached the lower horizontal part of the photo. The texture of the river is also very interesting. See you. Christal1664882414 0 Posted March 8, 2010 Icon or not.....if you can take a picture this good, then you must! I love your low perspective, and the lighting is wonderful. The snow just puts it over the top! And I love your title....it's perfect! Bravo! I'm putting this in my favorites. Link to comment
