The green head (mallard) is really well photographed and it really shows all his details of great color and he is so full in his winter suit.. Well done shot and very impressive in all his glory... Love this shot.. MJ

Thanks so much for your kind and always informative critique MJ. Had a rather nice time that day..didn't see as many birds as I'd wished........but the Mallards are always a favorite of mine. They don't seem to mind being 'centre of attention'..the Canadian Geese however have had their fun 'hissing at me'....(I just hiss back).........heck....gotta be polite. Sure don't want to be 'shat upon' by one of those big birds....one just missed me the other day in my back yard. Usually it's the Seagulls we duck from! I should do this one over, I processed it a quite awhile ago. I know a bit more in editing and might be able to brighten the face a bit, thanks Robert, a real compliment coming from you.
