chip phillips 0 Posted February 8, 2009 Mount Rundle seen over frozen Vermillion Lake in Banff National Park. Thanks for looking! Link to comment
chip phillips 0 Posted February 8, 2009 Thanks guys, I really appreciate your comments!! Well, guess it was only a matter of time before someone came along and gave me 2 4's with no explanation as to why. It's not my best, but I would hope it was above "average". I will never understand why people hand out these low ratings and don't explain why. This is the only website where this happens! Hope someone is getting some sort of benefit out of it, because it certainly doesn't help me improve my photography. Link to comment
glen_parker4 0 Posted February 8, 2009 I agree, Chip... it's becoming very frustrating. Some people are very destructive and it doesn't help when you put up a nice shot and it's 'bucketed'. I'm considering putting up less images, which I'm sure is not the idea of the site... anyway, another beautiful image... 7/7a Link to comment
feliciano 1 Posted February 9, 2009 Great, great image Chip. This is one of the best pictures I have seen on this site. Great composition, colors and light 7/7... and by the way you have an exelent collection of beautiful images. Congratulations for the great work u are doing. Bad coments or ratings on your images? ahhhhh, don't worry about it. Some people do this even with the best photographers of the world. Just keep doing what u are doing because u have a wonderful collection of wonderful images. Best regards, I. Feliciano. Link to comment
lalit 0 Posted February 9, 2009 Just as expected from you... fascinating location that is strongly composed available in the vibrant shades. Link to comment
hopsage 0 Posted February 9, 2009 Don't let the 3/4 trolls get to you. They're just trolls. It's a fact of life here, if you enable ratings on your photos, and if you don't enable the ratings, the visibility of your posting drops. This image is chock full of wonderful color, tonal range, and dynamic lines. I'm actually most drawn to the ice and the reflection on the lake, which have a really unusual and effective presentation. In fact, they represent a second image to me: an abstract based on a square crop from the far shoreline, down. Link to comment

zeenigma 0 Posted February 9, 2009 Anonymous rating is sometimes a convenient way to hide stupidity... Your composition is strong, the colors are stunning and it's a wonderful photograph you have here. I don't know how this photograph could be improved. Congratulations ! Best regards. J. daverave 1 Posted February 11, 2009 Really amazing how virtually every line in this image leads to the same point, like nature's own one-point perspective diagram. Very cool (and probably pretty cold, too.) Link to comment
camilo.margeli 1 Posted February 11, 2009 Absolutely an outstanding image. I can spend hours viewing. Link to comment
patricklove 0 Posted February 13, 2009 I thought this was a Marc Adamus picture when I first laid eyes on it. link Link to comment
mike_van_essen 0 Posted February 27, 2009 I have taken hundreds of pictures (if not thousands) of Mt Rundle and have never achieved anything like this. Pictures like this always make me feel guilty about sleeping in all the time. Link to comment
