RickDB 10 Posted February 6, 2009 Multicolored sunbeams illuminate the labyrinth in Grace Cathedral. Built (1928-1964 ) in the French Gothic style, to a design by Lewis Hobart, after the earthquake of 1906 destroyed the original Grace Church. Link to comment
milena_safrova 0 Posted February 6, 2009 Very nicely processed and presented church interior; I admire your work with the light, the floor in the FG is really amazing Link to comment
aginbyte 0 Posted February 9, 2009 ... wonderful technique and it is such a sight to see the light from the stained glass on the labyrinth. Great job. Link to comment

RickDB 10 Posted February 10, 2009 I got lucky Milena - the early morning light lit up this Cathedral beautifully, just like it did when I was in St.Vitus. The interesting thing is that the light is coming from the southeast side, so the altar/chior is at the west end. Ali, if you like this kind of architecture be sure to check out Dennis Aubrey's and Theo Jacobs' pics - I learned much from them. Dennis, not bad for a concrete and steel structure (to withstand earthquakes) - but I thought you might be interested in seeing an early 16th century altarpiece from Hambye Abbey in Normandy, so you should check out the other pics in this folder. Hi Vadim, you might recognise the purple tones in this one, but my pics of Alcatraz are not so inviting! Thanks all, Cheers! RickDB Link to comment
