Wonderful exercise in lighting.

It seems to have lost the subject. What is the,"actual," subject? Marble? Shadow?Light in the shadow? Understand?

I thought this was simple........Sunshine thro marble which creates the reflection, etc.

I don’t understand how anyone could lose the subject in this photo? The subject is the marble, shadow and the light. Well done!

Thanks for your comment 'major williams'. I was hoping someone else would see the simple side of this photo. The marble was just lying around and when I saw the sun shining thro I liked the effect so......click.

For whatever it's worth, I'm not at all confused about the subject. This photo reflects a great deal of creativity and an adventuresome spirit. Your experiment worked quite well. The shot is very well seen and composed, and the light and shadow effects are dramatic.
