This is the kind of street photo I can digest with gusto and enjoy immensly. My heart is bounching as I look at the perfect alignment of his shadow vs his backbag and the base of the post, just couln't be improved. His head/leg posture is just perfect too. Otherwise the clean scene illuminated by the soft light do the trick. Another Masterpiece (Shot in A'dam, likely), my kudos! (Into my Favorities)

Nice to see your photos again. I do like this one. I like the light that makes a subtle degradé from left to right, his head curved down and the shadow that porsues him. I also like that object that divides the photography in two. All this elements give this photo a somehow nostalgic and sad mood. That's what I see at least, others will see very different things. you say this shot was a gift! there is an old adage - you can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink... this is a wonderful composition of parallels and i would be sorely disappointed in my own assessments if you were to deny that you had not 'seen' them... i like the space at back of him, many stories there
