jacobbuller 0 Posted February 1, 2009 I like how the purple is in the stem, and in the branches, and i wanted to crop the picture so it would look best and the berries would be in the right spot, this is already cropped, if i could make it look better how would you suggest? the right side of the uncropped picture is pretty much blurred background. THanks! Link to comment
t37traveler 0 Posted February 2, 2009 Jacob- You have a good idea going here. A couple of things bother me. I would try to minimize the pale green leaf by cropping the bottom of the photo. (To my eyes, the green blur at the bottom does not add anything aesthetically to the composition.) I would also get rid of the distracting white spot on your purple stem by cropping the right side to eliminate that. You have a composition that has a vertical orientation. I would crop the left edge also - about half way to the red berry to the make the photo taller that it is wide. Right now there is so much dark background that impact of the purple bough and red berries is diluted. By cropping away much more black than purple, you increase the visual impact of the stems. I'd really like to see what you come up with! Link to comment
