Interesting Linda, very good treatement to this stone.The play of light and shadow adds mystery to the whole. I like a lot the " frame" of vegetation, and the feeling of age .

As you, I feel the need to visit the nearby cemetaries in Belgium to take pictures of the funerary art pieces that can be found there. Sometimes I think I'm in an open air museum.

Good b&w conversion of this tombstone that looks quite abandoned and lonely

Berton, There certainly is something compelling about cemeteries, at least to me. I think it has something to do with the people whose lives went before ours, and the people who continue to care about them, or in this case have also likely passed on ....
