lookitsanthony87 0 Posted January 17, 2009 this photo has such a foggy horror-esque quality thats truly amazing. i love the composure and angle along with the varying tones. youve taken a modern day image and made it look as if it were printed in a darkroom 75 yrs ago.. well done! Link to comment

Art X Photography 1 Posted January 28, 2009 your use of colour tones, filter effects and saturation level give this image a "ruins" feel when you also add the perspective you have taken this with. the play with light on the skull, tomb stone and ground on the far right is also very effective. Having the tree (all be it darkened in soft dark tones) helps express the theme of death. for all those thing I rate this image with a 7 for aesthetics. The 6 is offered because although this may be a subject photographed often, you have provided a new perspective on it. well done Denis Link to comment

vanja 0 Posted April 23, 2009 In spite of the gloomy theme, this makes me smile :-) You demonstrate a very clever way of emphasizing what is really important. I guess that the white part of the sky plays nicely as "heaven" against the dark stone. Even the cross is somewhat lost in a tree - again life! At first I thought that the large scull was a bit too dark, but I guess you have managed to diminish it's size importance by letting it go dark. A nice work, a beautiful demonstration in control.
