geu4king 2 Posted January 3, 2009 Well Seen! Like how the dark green rows, lead the eye into the photo and intersects the vibrant yellow rows!!! Well Composed and Quite Beautiful!!! Link to comment
schneekranich 0 Posted January 3, 2009 it really broadens one's view and the sky soothes everything - very nice effect you achieved here! Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted January 7, 2009 Already three ways of motion here, when you include the sky parabolic, converging towards the center, against diverging land lines... Or you can see it as a nice array of triangles, quite complex geometry. In every sense, an interesting and original landscape. Such compositions are often also good B&Ws but here, the yellow line acts as strong accent, that adds impact, color is right here IMO Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 8, 2009 Thank you, Carsten. When taking the shot, I found the pattern of diverging paths interesting, but was not sure whether it would work (competition). I am pleased it works for you. Best wishes. Peter Link to comment
daily_photograph 0 Posted January 9, 2009 You walk around and check different crops of the surrounding. This is a quite complex one.Unique and perfect. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted January 9, 2009 Thank you, Daily. This is what I like about landscape photography. Landscapes offers many vantage points and the sceneries change during the year, so you never quite step in the same river... Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted January 9, 2009 Peter, it works very well for me. It's a fascinating composition with lines going off in every direction. It's a shot that I would truly be proud to have taken myself. Link to comment

corbin 0 Posted November 24, 2010 Very nice lines that take the eye all around, from the path to the yellow field, to the tower and back. Pretty sky too. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted November 24, 2010 Thank you, Claude. I was shooting the rapeseed fields when I encountered this composition. I remember I passed by this vantage point and then came back to take the shot. Link to comment
PeterKrenek 26 Posted April 11, 2011 Thank you, Tony. This scene really caught my eye, although it is not a classical composition. I returned there several times, but the fields never again allowed for the dichotomy effect. Link to comment
