Lovely stuff Ian! I love the play of textures here. You've done a great job coming with a very original, yet aesthetically pleasing photograph.

It is a long time I did not visit your work, I find all 3 last photos interesting, and I wonder where is it placed on the globe. This is a very unusual striated texture, with what looks like arteries and veins, that waters are flowing through( central part). For me it looks like a part of a tissue, simmilar a bit to a human body tissue , created on earth....the red color is adding to my imaginative feeling....

I think that your point of camera is interesting, well taken, makes a very unusual composition. The black rock is an evidence of the weather changes, and looks like a visitor that rolled in from another " geological world", adding to the general view ,one( central as well) more point of nature interest.

Hi Pnina!

Thank you very much for your lovely comment. I think you and I see this image very similarly. I too am immediately brought to thoughts of arteries and veins and organs in the human body.

I also felt that this whole exposed and weathered clay formation was like looking at the "flesh" of the Earth exposed to the world.

Thank you very much for stopping by. I am sorry I've been so silent recently. But, I haven't been on PN very much in that last couple months. I think I'll be more active shortly and I plan to stop by the pages of some PN friends soon.
