Terence Blanchard Jam Session during 'Bielska Zadymka' Jazz Festival

The picture was taken in a quite dark bar where Terence was participating in a jam session after his official performance. Even at f/2 and ISO 1600 the old good Jupiter 9 registered only some highlights creating this dark moody image.

Hi,

 

This is quite an old photo (2005) but one of my favourites so I thought I

share it with you and ask what you think. This was taken with Minolta

Dynax 5 and Jupiter 9 85mm @ f/2 (with M42 adapter). The film was

Ilford HP5 Plus pushed to 1600 as the bar where the jam session

progressed was dark with only couple of spotlights. This is a moment

Terence stepped aside to make room for other musicians to play - my

moment to shoot! :)

I do not know this musician but I have found your photograph quite well composed. It is a lot better than many of the photos we see at album covers and booklets.
