This is an escalator in the Washington DC subway system

located in Wheaton, Montgomery County, Maryland. The

brightness and contrast are as close as possible to the original

paper print.

I find this image to be very pleasing. What first stood out to me is the "W" shape formed by the escalator. I also like the slight blur of the escalator steps moving. I think this image would be even better if there was more included in the bottom so that you could see where the escalator steps start and part of the stationary metal platform. The crop is a little close to the right side for me, but that was probably intentional. I love the lighting and exposure. Overall, a wonderful image.
