atle.g 0 Posted November 29, 2008 Very nicely composed! I like the mood here...the car at the distance with dust behind and the narrow gravel road adds to the feeling of a very sparsely populated area. I dont know much of the different regions in nepal..but i some years ago i saw a lovely shot from the annapurna region...are you familiar with that region? Regards! Link to comment

ifti 1 Posted November 29, 2008 Winding unpaved dust road through a rugged terrain The reflecting light from the cloud of dust adds a real touch to the rough nature of the journey. Link to comment

pietje 0 Posted November 30, 2008 if it where here in Belgium you would see a police with radar for speed limit verbalisation! They are everywhere, exept where it is dangerous ... great capture, and you succeeded very wel in rendering the mood of the lonely mountain regions in this beautiful BW conversion. greetings & good weekend Piet Link to comment

ramthakur 0 Posted December 2, 2008 Sumon, I can't believe this! You mean the Kali Gandaki Valley has vehicular traffic plying in it now? Way back in 1988 when I trekked into it after crossing Thorong La, it had only an airstrip at Jhomsom. I did not get a seat on a flight and walked all the way to Pokhara to complete the circuit trek. This is an amazing picture and you have chosen the B&W medium aptly for this picture. The contrasts were of paramount importance in this picture of a rugged land. Thanks for sending me down the memory lane. Times have really changed. Regards, Ram Link to comment
