whydangle 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Very nice work Leo. Curious to know if this is a blended image. I am quite impressed with the mood you have set, the heat looks oppressive! Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Yes it is blended and is in fact also part HDR. It was the only way to control the dynamic range presented. Link to comment

tonmestrom 4 Posted November 18, 2008 I've been looking at this one for some time and while I like your foreground very much, it's nicely composed and worked out very good, I think there is some competition here beteen that foreground and that overwhelming sun which draws a ot of attention. In fact a bit too much for me. Link to comment
leo burkey 0 Posted November 19, 2008 What I wanted to convey here was extreme heat that the desert can produce and even though it wasn't that hot this time of year. I have a tendency to dramatize my images at times and this is definitely one of them. I think this conveys what I wanted to, "heat", and it will not be to everyone liking but I am happy with it. As always Ton, you comments are true to your beliefs and I respect that and I do appreciate them. Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted November 20, 2008 I like this shot a lot. If there is competition, (yes, may be it is too cluttered - the foreground the barren branch, the sun) I think the overall effect is esthetic enough to my taste. Best regards. Link to comment
