grayscale the epic hot dog stand

is the top of the building in the background jutting out of the roof of the stand. Also, the picture looks rather plain not epic (just my impression).

irek: interesting point about the building. i'm going remove it and compare to the original. thanks for useful feedback. though i still think it's epic.

 

there it is with the building removed. i much prefer the original. i find that the building provides a vertical symmetry; the dark building and the shadow of the hotdog stand frame the bright stand inbetween. it was a very useful exercise, though, and i'm glad i did it.

You caught the lighting just right. I bet you got a big rush when you saw this shot.

It really is an excellent exposure, I'm most impressed with your handling of the lighting in such high contrast circumstances. Congratulations.
