single photos Ice, Wind & Snow

That day a very strong wind played with clouds and ice of this attractive

lake in the Massif of Belledonne (1917m). To capture this particular

atmosphere I chose to use the ND400 filter to get 30 seconds of

exposure. The gradual neutral grey filter was used as well to reduce the

luminosity of the sky.

This really is a subtle crafted and well thought out image that draws you in.

The highlight balance in the motioned sky and reflected ice is bang on and the choice of B&W is perfect!

The nicest image I've seen all week!
