Good composition, nice placement of your subject. Granted it's fairly ugly for a ferris wheel, but we'll still call it good :)

I like the lines of the ferris wheel and the composition. You have got the right DOF as well.

 

To do this subject (an "abstract" really) justice, you would have to get the vibrant colors -- the orange and red of the post on the left, as well as the colored seats/buckets on top. So as not to blow out the sky, you have underexposed the shot, which has rendered the colors murky and dull. It looks depressing and ugly (without the redeeming qualities of some other depressing and ugly photographs). The foliage in the background is not good.

 

If you imagine this scene without colors, and just think of presenting it as study of lines, it would be a lesser photo.

Cool shot, good angle. I agree that the colors could have a bit more "umph". The trees distract from the details of the ride. Next time chop them all down (just kidding!).

Agree with Chuck about the tree, though I suspect that has more to do with viewfinder area *grrrr*

 

Only other comment I'd make is that it would be nice to have done something more with the lights, perhaps by waiting until the light level had dropped a little...
