marcadamus 1 Posted November 15, 2008 Wierd! On one hand, I'm a little distracted by the imperfections such as the light shone onto the foreground trees and overall it just looks out-of-this-world unnatural, but on the other hand it's just so damn original and visually stunning in many ways. It really has just about everything - like one of those big poster pictures of Gaia or a Beirstadt painting. I'd say hats off for coming back with something from this tremendously over-photographed spot that is this cool. Link to comment

dreamers landscape 0 Posted November 18, 2008 Amazing work for me. On of the most beautiful shot of my favourite land in USA. 7/7 Best Regards Phil Link to comment
deleteaccount 0 Posted November 19, 2008 The lighting and composition work well here but it's the originality that separates this from the rest. The light in the valley acts as an excellent lead in and enhances the shot wonderfully. Excellent take on this well photographed corner of the globe! Link to comment

cesar bermudez1 0 Posted January 11, 2009 An excellent photo. It reminds me a lot of work to Ansel Adams (but in color). I was pleasantly surprised. Greetings Link to comment
robwilson 0 Posted January 11, 2009 A genuine 7/7, and a new addition to my favourites.... Brilliant. Rob Link to comment
Stock-Photos 1 Posted January 11, 2009 Great job Phil. I've seen many shots from this place and made a few myself. This is one of the best I've seen. Must have been very little wind. The fog or smoke in the valley and the lack of extreme blur to the clouds indicate calm wind conditions. Would love to know the camera and lens details. I hope you've printed it BIG! Link to comment

vdp1 0 Posted March 7, 2010 Definitely unique....the only thing that gives some conflict with the key tone (the mountains I think) is that pine tree on the left. I think it should be a little bit stepped down. But in general very-nice unique work. Regards Link to comment
mike_grindstaff1 0 Posted August 20, 2010 Incredible combination of light and timing and exposure...I may wake up out my tent just a little more often to shoot the dawn... Link to comment
AlanKlein 2,917 Posted November 16, 2010 Definitely original. Now watch the posts of timed exposures here and elsewhere. I think you started something new. Let's see if it becomes a trend. Bravo. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted November 28, 2010 Can you handle yet another comment? This is superb - bravo! Congrats on this wonderful 7 minute time exposure. How long did you camp out to get this with with the fog almost creating a lake effect in the valley? The stars really add to the image. Magnificent job. Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted February 24, 2011 Breathtaking! A million photographs produced from this vantage point but coming out with an excellent rendition on a long exposure make this image special. Creativity is the word! Congratulations. Link to comment
