Sad and powerful. I'm not sure I approve of taking such images as it seems a bit exploitative, but if it is put to some useful purpose, I am more inclined to find it acceptable. Taking out ethical considerations, it is a very fine image.

I agree, this is a fantastic image. The balance between sculpture and subject is just wonderful.

@David: Yes this could be seen as exploitative. It could also be seen as a way to tell a story -- one that might not get told otherwise. If you can think of a way, in any medium, of accomplishing the latter without risking the former, I would honestly like to hear it (I've never managed to figure out how). Mostly, though, seeing something like this makes me think about how hard we all try to _not_ see pictures like this.

Thank you, Mauro.

I have seen it before, and I have put a comment on it,and I will do it again, and at any time I see it also again,

it is the most powerful shot I have ever seen describing the cruelty of the world we are living in,it is not at all exploitative, and if this is true, all our photos are exploitative, even the shots of the flowers, cause we are taking advantages of their beauty,

the shot is so powerful that it lifts the stones degrees over the humans value,by just a comparison look,it is the movement of the woman to escape,by putting her head towards the wall that is the most expressive seen in the shot, overall a shocking photo of any human consciousness, that is professionally seen, and captured,my best regards.
